Basin Nickel Ads has always strived to be the place where the community goes to find what local businesses have to offer. It has also been a publication that doesn't charge to place an obituary or birth announcement along with many great charitable and community events. The Basin Nickel Ads wants to continue providing these great resources to the community. It will continue to prepare, design, package, and mail out our weekly publication that still gets a great response for the businesses who choose to advertise. Just ask a few of the Basin's newest businesses, the dean of the USU Uintah Basin Campus, or the Chamber of Commerce if the Basin Nickel Ads is just a throw-away piece of junk mail or a great advertising value.

Now, Basin Nickel Ads has decided to not only join the revolution, but to revolutionize community news. Feel-good community news of the people, by the people, for the people. A place where a parent can write about an educational, political, or business happening where a local reporter may not have been because they couldn't be in two places at one time. Now, you as a community can be a part of creating this revolution.

Cort Pierce, who owns and operates and the GOCO Energy App, approached the Basin Nickel Ads to collaborate on a new app for the Basin. An app that would connect businesses to consumers and businesses to other businesses. Using "keywords" (services / products companies provide) make this app a mini search engine for the Basin. His knowledge, expertise, and experience in creating a successful app for a niche market in the Oil and Gas Industry gave the Basin Nickel Ads the confidence to create this mobile and web-optimized app with the "Basin Nickel App" name.
